Mattie and I went down to Bordeaux last week to visit Mattie’s family, but also to help his mom work on the family house in Aureilhan, a small village next to Mimizan. So we spent few hard working and equally relaxing days in the countryside. We mowed the grass, cleaned two hundred year-old trees, cooked and ate well, played Tarzan, explored the old barn and found some treasures, walked into the forest, painted a little and collected a lot of wild flowers.
A few days ago, Mattie and I came down to Bordeaux to visit his mom. As you might already know from this blog, I’ve started housing some plants, and recently I’ve planted some herb seeds which started to sprout. It’s my first time planting seeds, and it is amazing to observe! But I’ll talk about that in another post. So since we planned to leave home for ten days, the plants became my biggest worry. After much research and reading on internet, I’ve found a home made self-watering system using bucket of water and ropes. Above photo is how we left them on the morning we took the train down to Bordeaux. It’s been about five days now, and I wonder (worry) how they are doing. Would they be alive and green when I’m back or a biggest puddle of mess? I have no idea… Any of you tried this method before?
Otherwise, I’m doing wonderfully here. Since I’m mostly away from my computer on my holidays, I won’t be able to update this place until I’m back home. Till then, you can follow my everydays on my Instagram instead.
Some Instagram photos of past few days.
